Movie Monday: The Hunger Games

 

 Please, do yourself a favor and watch this movie. Who knew it was going to be this HUGE?! I finished the first book hours before the midnight release and still enjoyed the movie. There were obvious differences between the book and film but that didn't stop it from reigning supreme at the box office. CONGRATULATIONS to all involved and here's to an even more successful sequel. Oh, check out the photo below of a few friends just before the midnight showing. Yep, we were all ready to go in our Capitol-inspired wear.

 

TV Thursday: The Secret Circle

Only 2 episodes left in the 1st season of CW's The Secret Circle. It's been an amazing ride these past few months and I'm eager to see how things are going to end in the finale. All I can say is there had better be another season and, somehow, I must be part of the 2nd season cast. The plot deepens and loyalties have been put to the test. Oh, what is the circle to do?

Movie Monday: Doctor Strange

Now, here's a great origin movie featuring one of my favorite characters, Dr. Strange. I remember always being fascinated by the character and loved reading anything available about his reign as Sorcerer Supreme. Thanks to one of my buddies, Nick, I also have a few comics to thumb through as well. If you're a fan of the good doctor or are just in love with the Marvel Universe, I highly suggest you watch this movie. It's simply brilliant!

Smallville

As usual, I'm way behind on a popular show that I've come to love. I can't explain it. There are periods of my life where I'll miss everything, movies, tv shows, music...you name it. It's like someone took me off the grid only to return, years later, when the show has ended or is in its final season. A friend loaned me his Smallville set and I've been watching them as fast as I can. Currently, I'm on the 3rd season and it's been a blast! I tip my hat to the actors, actresses, directors, writers, and everyone who enjoyed being part of a hit show for such a long time. Job well done and CONGRATULATIONS!

TV Thursday: The Secret Circle

Oh, The Secret Circle is getting insanely good! Each and every Thursday is a delight because I know at 9PM all will be right with the world. At this point, anything can happen. Although, I am waiting for Diana to go bat-shit nuts (just for a little bit anyways) and for Jake to bite the bullet and become chums with the circle. Either way, the show is awesome and I hope there will be more seasons!
